The Portland Timbers on Tuesday signed defender Eric Miller to a two-year contract through the 2025 season.
Miller, who turns 31 on Jan. 15, had played for the Timbers in 2023 under a one-year contract with a club option for 2024. He recorded 21 appearances (12 starts) and one assist last season on Sept. 2 in a 2-2 draw with host Seattle.
Across his 10-year career, Miller has made 186 MLS appearances (148 starts), including playoffs, and has tallied four assists.
Originally drafted by the then-Montreal Impact as the fifth overall pick in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft, Miller has played for Montreal (2014-15), Colorado Rapids (2016-17), Minnesota United (2018-19), New York City FC (2019), Nashville (2020-22) and the Timbers.
