Alhassan Yusuf scored in the 35th minute as the New England Revolution remained perfect at home with a 1-0 victory over D.C. United on Saturday in Foxborough, Mass.

Matt Turner had five saves for the Revolution, who won their second straight and have captured all three of their home games by a collective 10-1 margin.

Turner preserved his second straight clean sheet in the second minute of stoppage time when he broke off the goal line to meet a shot from the left side of the box by Joao Peglow.

With the victory, the Revs (3-3-0, 9 points) jumped D.C. United (2-4-1, 7 points) in the MLS Eastern Conference table.

Slumping D.C. lost its second straight and has not scored in its last three matches.

Sean Johnson had three saves for D.C United, who were without top scorer Tai Baribo due to a thigh injury. Baribo has three of D.C.’s four goals, which are the fewest for any MLS team this season.

The loss continued the futility for D.C. United at New England, where they have won just once in their 17 visits since 2013.

The Revolution broke on top when Will Sands chested a long cross from Carles Gil backward to Dor Turgeman, who lost a defender with a two-touch and tapped an inside pass backward to Yusuf.

From 15 yards out in the middle of the box, Yusuf fired a right-footed shot into the bottom right corner for his second goal this season. The assists were the second this year for Turgeman and first for Sands.

The best chances for D.C. came in the opening minutes as Matti Peltola’s drive from the top of the box caromed off the left post. Moments later, Aaron Herrera shot wide right from the right side of the box.

New England dominated possession for most of the rest of the first half. After intermission, D.C. United had the better of the play but had difficulty generating quality chances. For the match, D.C. outshot New England 17-11 but put just five of its attempts on frame.

Johnson’s best save came in the 81st minute when Turgeman headed a free kick from Griffin Yow and the D.C. keeper tipped it over the crossbar.

The all-time series is now tied 42-42-17.
