Philadelphia Union head coach Jim Curtin agreed to a new contract that extends through the 2026 season, The Athletic reported on Sunday.
Financial terms were not disclosed for Curtin, awarded the Sigi Schmid MLS Coach of the Year in 2020 and 2022.
Curtin, 44, was named Union head coach in November 2014 and guided the club to the Supporters’ Shield in 2020. The Philadelphia-area native helped the Union reach the MLS Cup final in 2022 before they fell on penalties to Los Angeles FC.
He joined Bruce Arena (1997, 2009, 2011, 2021), Bob Bradley (1998, 2006, 2019), Schmid (1999, 2008) and Frank Yallop (2001, 2012) as the lone MLS coaches to win the award multiple times.
