Victor Olatunji scored the tying goal late in the second half as Real Salt Lake claimed a 2-2 tie with host San Diego FC on Sunday night.

Sergi Solans also scored for Salt Lake (3-1-1, 10 points), which extended its unbeaten stretch to four matches (3-0-1).

Marcus Ingvartsen and Anders Dreyer scored goals for San Diego FC (3-0-2, 11 points), who remained unbeaten in MLS play this season.

Duran Ferree made four saves for San Diego, while Salt Lake counterpart Rafael Cabral had three stops.

Dreyer gave San Diego a 2-1 lead in the 56th minute.

Amahl Pellegrino passed the ball to Dreyer and Cabral came out of the net to cut down the angle. Dreyer sent a left-footed spinning chip shot over Cabral and it easily found the net.

San Diego failed to grow the lead and RSL pushed forward and knotted the score in the 85th minute.

Morgan Guilavogui was to the right of the San Diego net when he sent a cross that made it through the box. A charging Olatunji was near the far post and knocked the ball into the net. Noel Caliskan, who passed to Guilavogui, also assisted on the play.

Olatunji had a chance in the seventh minute of second-half stoppage time, but Ferree leaped to grab his close-range header.

Salt Lake outshot San Diego 21-14 with eight shots on target to five for the hosts.

RSL struck in the 17th minute as Juan Manuel Sanabria sent a left-footed cross from the left side toward the net. Solans was stationed in front and headed the ball into the net.

Eight minutes later, Cabral protected the RSL edge when he used his left arm to block a hard left-footed shot by San Diego’s David Vazquez.

In the 27th minute, San Diego had a free kick and the ball bounced around with players from both teams touching it. The ball even caromed off Cabral’s face and back toward Ingvartsen, whose left-footed shot hit the leg of Salt Lake defender Philip Quinton en route to finding the net and tying the score.

Salt Lake had a huge opportunity to move ahead in the seventh and final minute of first-half stoppage time. Solans took a right-footed shot toward the far post, but San Diego’s Manu Duah was stationed at the goal line and cleared the ball with the inside of his foot just before it crossed the line.
