Kevin Cabral, Cole Bassett and Jonathan Lewis each had a goal and an assist to help the Colorado Rapids earn a 4-1 win against St. Louis City on Sunday in Commerce City, Colo.

The Rapids (11-8-4, 37 points) are 5-0-1 in their past six home matches while St. Louis (4-8-10, 22 points) remains winless on the road (0-5-5).

St. Louis goalkeeper Roman Burki left the match in the 32nd minute with an apparent injury. He was replaced by Benjamin Lundt.

Cabral gave Colorado a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute. Bassett caught up to a Rafael Navarro pass at the top of the box and dished it to an onrushing Cabral, who stepped into a shot that he put past Burki.

John David Klein III pulled St. Louis even with his first career MLS goal in the 12th minute. Jayden Reid directed a cross from outside the box, and Klein jumped up for a header near the spot, sending it over Rapids goalie Zack Steffen.

The visitors came close to taking a lead in the 22nd minute on Nokkvi Thorisson’s sharp-angle shot from the right side, but Steffen got his hand on it at the near post to keep it a 1-1 match.

In the 35th minute, Cabral and Bassett teamed up again to put the Rapids ahead 2-1. Navarro again sent a long pass up ahead, and this time Cabral chased it down by the end line. He took the ball just inside the penalty area before feeding Bassett, who sent it past Lundt’s outstretched hand.

St. Louis City nearly tied it in the 47th minute when Chris Durkin’s shot from inside the box went past the left post.

Lewis made it 3-1 in the 81st minute, getting his foot on an airborne cross. Darren Yapi buried his first career MLS goal in the 90th minute to make it 4-1.
