The Colorado Rapids have completed a permanent transfer for goalkeeper Marko Ilic from Belgium’s KV Kortrijk.
The deal announced Saturday runs through the 2025 MLS season and includes club options for 2026 and 2027.
The 25-year-old Serbian posted seven saves and one clean sheet in three MLS starts for Colorado earlier this season.
“We’re pleased to bring Marko to the club on a permanent basis,” Rapids president Padraig Smith said. “Marko is just entering his prime and has demonstrated the athleticism, shot-stopping abilities and technical quality we first identified when we brought him on loan, so we’re delighted to secure his future with the club.”
Ilic originally joined the Rapids on a six-month loan from Kortrijk before the start of this season.
He also started three matches for Colorado in the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, winning two of them.
