The New York Red Bulls signed Scottish midfielder Lewis Morgan to a new two-year contract Friday that includes options for 2027 and 2028.

Morgan, 28, recorded 20 goal contributions last season (13 goals, seven assists) and was named the Comeback Player of the Year.

“Lewis is an incredible human being, who means a lot to our locker room and our club,” head coach Sandro Schwarz said. “He is a very impactful player and we are excited to get the opportunity to continue to work with him.”

Morgan has recorded 34 goals and 23 assists in 123 MLS matches (117 starts) with Inter Miami CF (2020-21) and the Red Bulls.

–CF Montreal announced the acquisitions of defenders Brandan Craig and Luca Petrasso.

Craig, 20, is signed for 2025 with option years from 2026-28. He came up through the Philadelphia Union system before going on loans to Austin FC in 2023 and USL Championship side El Paso Locomotive in 2024.

“He showed consistency and good technical quality on the ball during camp,” Montreal president and CEO Gabriel Gervais said. “He’s a young player who can play as a central defender or on the right side of the defense.”

Petrasso, 24, is signed for 2025 with option years in 2026 and 2027. He has four assists in 37 MLS matches (25 starts) with Toronto FC (2022) and Orlando City (2023-24).

“We are pleased to add Luca to our squad,” Gervais said. “He is a versatile player with MLS experience who will provide support on the left side, both in the wing back and center back position.”

–Toronto FC signed homegrown goalkeeper Adisa De Rosario, 20, to a two-year contract with options for 2027 and 2028.

De Rosario, 20, made 55 saves in 25 appearances for MLS NEXT Pro affiliate Toronto FC II. He also spent time on loan in the Canadian Premier League in 2022 and 2023.
