The Houston Dynamo acquired midfielder Latif Blessing on Thursday from Toronto FC in exchange for $75,000 in general allocation money.
Toronto FC could be in line for another $200,000 in general allocation money if Blessing reaches a number of performance-based incentives.
Blessing, 27, is in his eighth MLS season after the Ghana native began his run in the league in 2017 with the Sporting Kansas City before moving to Los Angeles FC for five seasons. Blessing helped LAFC to the 2022 MLS Cup title when he delivered four assists in 30 games (16 starts).
Blessing, who played in 20 games (15 starts) for the New England Revolution and Toronto FC last season, has 17 career MLS goals and 25 assists in 190 regular-season games (137 starts).
