The 2023 MLS Cup champion Columbus Crew re-signed defenders Rudy Camacho and Steven Moreira through 2025.

The Crew also re-signed backup goalkeeper Evan Bush for the 2024 season. Terms of the deals announced on Tuesday were not disclosed.

Camacho, 32, joined Columbus in a July 31 trade with CF Montreal. The Frenchman started eight of his 11 matches with the Crew during the regular season and played 570 minutes across six postseason matches.

“Rudy has been incredibly strong and consistent since joining the Crew as his veteran leadership and steady presence commanding our backline played a key role in our championship campaign,” Crew president and general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said. “He was instrumental in helping us win MLS Cup, and we look forward to seeing his contributions extend even further during his first full season with the original Black & Gold.”

Camacho has recorded seven goals in 139 MLS matches (134 starts) with Montreal (2018-23) and Columbus.

Moreira’s contract includes a club option for 2026.

Moreira, 29, also from France, tallied five assists in 34 matches (33 starts) during the 2023 regular season. He had one assist in six playoff starts.

“We are excited to announce that we have re-signed Steven to a new contract,” Bezbatchenko said. “Since joining the Crew, Steven has been a loyal and dependable asset to the Club, showing his leadership, skill and tenacity since the moment he sported the Black & Gold. His work ethic on and off the field serves as an example to his teammates, and how he values his connection with our supporters.”

Moreira was acquired by the Crew from Toulouse FC on Aug. 23, 2021. He has collected one goal and 16 assists in 73 MLS matches (71 starts).

Bush, 37, has been with Columbus since 2021. He has posted 42 clean sheets across 188 MLS starts with Montreal (2012-20), the Vancouver Whitecaps (2020) and the Crew.
