The Philadelphia Phillies released shortstop Didi Gregorius among a flurry of moves Thursday.

The 32-year-old veteran is batting .210 with one homer and 19 RBIs in 63 games this season. He is hitting just .103 (4-for-39) since the All-Star break.

The Phillies also reinstated middle infielder Jean Segura from the 60-day injured list, activated right-hander Kyle Gibson from the bereavement list and confirmed that newly acquired right-hander Noah Syndergaard and outfielder Brandon Marsh have reported to the club.

Syndergaard and Marsh were acquired Tuesday in trades with the Los Angeles Angels.

Syndergaard, 29, is scheduled to start Thursday night’s series opener against the visiting Washington Nationals. He was 5-8 with a 3.83 ERA in 15 starts with the Angels.

Marsh, 24, batted .226 with eight homers and 37 RBIs in 93 games with the Angels this season.

Segura, 32, has missed the last two months with a fractured right index finger. The two-time All-star batted .275 with six homers and 19 RBIs in 44 games before being hit by a pitch in a May 31 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

Gibson, 34, is 6-4 with a 4.60 ERA in 20 starts this season. He is scheduled to start Friday against the Nationals.

Gregorius is a career .257 hitter with 134 home runs and 530 RBIs in 1,077 games with the Cincinnati Reds (2012), Arizona Diamondbacks (2013-14), New York Yankees (2015-19) and Phillies.

Gregorius is in the second season of a two-year, $28 million contract he signed with the Phillies in February 2021.

Entering play Thursday, the Phillies have a narrow hold on the third wild-card spot in the National League. They are 10 games behind the Mets in the NL East.
