The New York Yankees on Friday announced a two-game exhibition series for March 24-25 in Mexico City.
The Yankees and the Diablos Rojos del Mexico will meet at Alfredo Harp Helu Stadium.
The franchises have won the most titles in their respective leagues. The Yankees have collected 27 World Series championships and the Diablos Rojos have 16 crowns in the Mexican Baseball League.
The exhibition games will close out the Yankees’ spring schedule. They open the regular season at Houston on March 28.
This is the Yankees’ first trip to Mexico City since March 1968, when they split a pair of exhibition games with the Diablos Rojos.
