Alex Verdugo drove in four runs and left-hander Carlos Rodon threw six two-hit innings as New York routed the host Milwaukee Brewers 15-3 on Saturday night in the second of a three-game series.

The Yankees posted season highs in both runs and hits (19) in winning for the sixth time in their last 10 games. The Brewers lost for just the third time in 10 games.

Verdugo put New York up 3-0 in the first inning when he ripped a slider over the middle from Milwaukee right-hander Joe Ross into the seats in right-center for a three-run homer. The 389-foot blast was Verdugo’s fourth homer of the season.

Rhys Hoskins got the Brewers on the scoreboard in the bottom of the inning with a 411-foot solo homer to left-center off Rodon. It was Hoskins’ sixth homer of the year.

But Ross got into trouble again in the third when he loaded the bases on a pair of walks and an infield single. With one out, Gleyber Torres cleared the bases by slashing an opposite-field double to the right-center field gap, and New York was up 6-1.

The Yankees padded the lead to 7-1 in the fifth when Anthony Rizzo singled and scored on Oswaldo Cabrera’s single to right.

Aaron Judge made it 9-1 Yankees in the sixth when he connected for his fifth homer of the year, a two-run, 417-foot shot to center off Brewers reliever Thyago Vieira.

Three batters later, Rizzo cracked a 385-foot homer off Vieira for an 11-1 New York lead.

Verdugo added a sacrifice fly and Giancarlo Stanton hit his sixth homer as the Yankees poured it on in the ninth off Brewers position player-pitcher Owen Miller.

The Brewers scored two runs in the ninth as the Yankees closed the game with position player Jose Trevino.

Rodon (2-1) allowed just one run, walked one and struck out eight in a 93-pitch effort in getting the win.

Ross (1-3) needed 99 pitches to get through five innings, giving up eight hits and seven runs (six earned) with three walks and five strikeouts.
