Teoscar Hernandez drove in three runs, including the game-winner on a ninth-inning single, as the Los Angeles Dodgers rallied for a 6-5 victory over the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run home run as part of a three-hit night, helping the Dodgers prevail after they lost two of three games over the weekend at San Francisco. Hernandez also had three hits.

Christian Walker continued to torment the Dodgers with a home run, his fifth in seven games against Los Angeles this season, while former Dodger Joc Pederson hit a solo shot in the top of the ninth to put Arizona up 5-4.

The Dodgers were down to their last out when Will Smith doubled to left-center against Paul Sewald (0-1). Freddie Freeman followed with a game-tying double. Two pitches later, Hernandez rolled his game-ending single to left field.

The Dodgers went ahead 4-3 in the seventh inning on Ohtani’s towering 433-foot, two-run home run to right-center, his 27th homer.

The Diamondbacks tied the game 4-4 in the eighth on a throwing error by pitcher Blake Treinen following a bunt from Jake McCarthy. Gabriel Moreno, who had walked, scored from first on the play.

The Dodgers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Ohtani led off with a double and scored on a two-out double from Hernandez.

Los Angeles increased the gap to 2-0 in the third inning on a fielder’s-choice grounder from Hernandez following singles by Smith and Freeman.

The Diamondbacks tied the score in the fourth inning on a two-run home run from Walker, the 23rd homer of his career against the Dodgers. That total trails only his 24 against the Colorado Rockies. He has 18 long balls this year.

Arizona went on to load the bases with no outs in the fourth before Dodgers starter Bobby Miller struck out Alek Thomas, got Geraldo Perdomo on a pop-up and retired Corbin Carroll on a grounder to keep the game tied.

Miller went five innings, allowing two runs on four hits and three walks with four strikeouts. It was his third start since returning from more than two months away with right shoulder inflammation.

Evan Phillips (1-0) gave up a run in one inning but earned the win.

Diamondbacks bulk-innings pitcher Ryne Nelson yielded one run on six hits and a walk in five frames. He fanned three.
