Randal Grichuk had three hits and two RBIs, Harold Castro added two hits and an RBI and Peter Lambert (1-1) tossed 2 2/3 innings of relief for the win, Colorado’s fifth in its last seven games.

Jurickson Profar singled and scored a run for the Rockies, extending his on-base streak to 35 games.

Francisco Lindor and Francisco Alvarez homered, Tommy Pham had three hits and four RBIs and Pete Alonso, Brandon Nimmo, Eduardo Escobar and Starling Marte had two hits apiece for New York.

Colorado took a 2-0 lead in the third inning. Blackmon reached on an error by Mets starter Tylor Megill, McMahon walked, Grichuk singled to drive in Blackmon and McMahon scored on Castro’s single.

The Mets responded in the fourth off starter Austin Gomber. Alonso doubled to lead off the inning, Marte later walked and both moved up on a passed ball. Pham tied it with a two-run double, then stole third. Mark Canha walked, and Escobar singled to put New York ahead 3-2.

One out later, Alvarez followed with his eighth home run to make it 6-2.

Gomber allowed six runs on eight hits and struck out three with three walks in four innings.

The Rockies answered with a two-out rally in the bottom of the inning against Megill. Blackmon and Profar singled, Kris Bryant walked and McMahon hit a bases-clearing double. Grichuck followed with a double to tie it.

Megill allowed six runs (four earned) on 10 hits over four innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Colorado went ahead in the fifth against reliever Stephen Nogosek (0-1). Ezequiel Tovar and Austin Wynns hit consecutive doubles and Blackmon homered to right to make it 9-6. It was his fifth of the season.

Bryant walked for the second time and McMahon homered to center for his seventh long ball of the season.

Lindor led off the seventh with his ninth homer of the season and the Mets made it close in the ninth. Jeff McNeil singled, Marte walked and Pham hit a two-run triple before scoring on a groundout by Brett Baty. Escobar then grounded out to end the game.
