The Colorado Rockies placed left-hander Josh Rogers on the 15-day injured list on Monday due to a rotator cuff strain in his left shoulder.

The move was retroactive to Friday. In other moves, the Rockies activated right-handers Jake Bird (right elbow inflammation) and Justin Lawrence (right shoulder strain) from the 15-day IL; and optioned right-hander Angel Chivilli to Double-A Hartford.

Rogers, 29, last pitched on Wednesday, allowing two runs and three hits in two-thirds of an inning in a 17-9 loss at the Minnesota Twins. In his first season with Colorado, he is 1-0 with a 6.75 ERA, two walks and two strikeouts in 9 1/3 innings over five appearances.

In parts of five seasons with the Baltimore Orioles (2018-19), Washington Nationals (2021-22) and Rockies, Rogers is 6-7 with a 5.55 ERA, 38 walks and 47 strikeouts in 97 1/3 innings over 35 games (12 starts).

Bird, 28, is 1-1 with one save, a 6.10 ERA, 15 walks and 12 strikeouts in 20 2/3 innings in 19 appearances this season.

Lawrence, 29, is 1-3 with two saves, a 5.91 ERA, 15 walks and 20 striekouts in 21 1/3 innings over 20 appearances in 2024.

Chivilli, 21, is 0-0 with an 8.44 ERA, no walks and two strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings over five appearances this season.
