The Dodgers and clubhouse favorite Enrique Hernandez agreed to a deal that will keep the veteran utility player in Los Angeles, multiple sources reported Sunday.

The Dodgers have not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical, though Hernandez announced his return to the team in a TikTok video.

Hernandez, 33, had been with Los Angeles since the Dodgers acquired him in a 2023 trade with Boston.

He batted just .229 for Los Angeles last season but stepped up in the playoffs, hitting .294 with two home runs and six RBIs over 14 games to help the Dodgers win the World Series.

A versatile defensive option for manager Dave Roberts, Hernandez is expected to play mostly second base or center field.

Los Angeles had already retained Hernandez three times prior to Sunday’s reported deal, twice via trade and once on a free agent contract.

He played for the Dodgers from 2015 to 2020 before spending the next two-plus seasons with the Red Sox.

Over 11 major league seasons, Hernandez has hit .238 with 120 home runs and 435 RBIs.
