The Cincinnati Reds signed right-hander Hunter Strickland to a minor league contract on Saturday.
The deal includes an invitation to major league camp.
Strickland made 66 relief appearances for the Reds last season and went 3-3 with a 4.91 ERA. He struck out 60 in 62 1/3 innings.
The 34-year-old Strickland has pitched for eight big league clubs and has a 22-21 record, a 3.41 ERA and 28 saves in 408 relief outings.
Strickland spent his first five major league campaigns with the San Francisco Giants (2014-18) and also has pitched for the Seattle Mariners (2019), Washington Nationals (2019), New York Mets (2020), Tampa Bay Rays (2021), Los Angeles Angels (2021) and Milwaukee Brewers (2021).
