Kyle Schwarber sent the fourth pitch of the game over the left-center-field wall, Cristopher Sanchez logged six scoreless innings and the Philadelphia Phillies salvaged one win in their three-game series against the host San Francisco Giants with a 6-1 victory on Wednesday afternoon.

After getting shut out over 10 innings in a 1-0 loss the night before, the Phillies got an immediate jolt in the matinee affair when Schwarber homered for the fifth time this season as Philadelphia’s first batter of the game.

Cristian Pache added an RBI single in the second and Nick Castellanos had a two-run homer in the fifth, sending the visitors on their way to a win that snapped a season-worst, three-game losing streak.

The homers were Schwarber’s 11th of the year and Castellanos’ seventh, and both came off Giants starter Kyle Harrison (4-2), who suffered the first home loss of his career.

Sanchez (3-3) protected the lead with his six innings of shutout ball. He struck out seven, allowing four hits — all singles — and one walk.

Harrison was pulled after five innings, down 4-0, having been roughed up for 12 hits. He walked one and struck out five.

The second-year major-leaguer was making his 10th career home start. He had gone 2-0 in the first nine.

Schwarber and Bryce Harper added RBI singles in the eighth to complete the visitors’ scoring.

Castellanos racked up a single, double, homer, two RBIs and two runs for Philadelphia, which took the season series 5-2 from the Giants.

Schwarber, Pache, Bryson Stott and Garrett Stubbs had two hits apiece for the Phillies, who completed a 2-4 Western swing.

The Giants’ lone run came with two outs and two strikes in the ninth, when Heliot Ramos singled in Wilmer Flores, who had doubled for his second hit of the day. Ramos also finished with two hits.
