Bryson Stott lofted a 10th-inning sacrifice fly Monday night for the visiting Philadelphia Phillies, who overcame a two-run, ninth-inning deficit to beat the New York Mets 5-4.

The Phillies have won 10 of 12 after taking the opener of a series that will see the teams play twice in New York before immediately playing twice in Philadelphia. The Mets have lost six of nine.

Stott led off the ninth with a homer against Mets closer Edwin Diaz, who later forced home the tying run with two outs when he hit Alec Bohm with a pitch.

In the 10th, New York reliever Sean Reid-Foley (1-1) uncorked a wild pitch that sent automatic runner Bryce Harper to third. Nick Castellanos walked before Harper tagged up and scored on Stott’s fly to right field.

Orion Kerkering (1-0) tossed a 1-2-3 ninth and Jose Alvarado notched his eighth save with a perfect 10th.

Philadelphia’s Garrett Stubbs beat out an RBI bunt single in the second and Johan Rojas hit into a run-scoring groundout in the seventh. Stott and Edmundo Sosa had two hits each, and Brandon Marsh with 1-for-2 with two walks and two stolen bases.

Mets designated hitter J.D. Martinez finished 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Pete Alonso had two hits and scored twice.

Phillies starter Cristopher Sanchez allowed three runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over 5 2/3 innings. The Mets’ Sean Manaea gave up one run on four hits and one walk while striking out six over six innings.

Manaea nearly wriggled out of a second-and-third, no-out jam in the second before Stubbs laid down a bunt single in between the pitcher’s mound and first base as Stott scored.

Martinez (double) and Tomas Nido (single) had RBI hits in the bottom of the second.

The Mets extended the lead to 3-1 in the third, when their first four batters reached. Martinez walked with the bases loaded to force home Starling Marte, who led off with a double, but Sanchez struck out the next three batters on nine pitches.

Sosa and Marsh opened the seventh with singles before Sosa scored on Rojas’ grounder to short. Alonso drew a one-out walk in the bottom half, went to second on Martinez’s single and scored when Tyrone Taylor’s grounder clipped off the glove of Bohm at third base.
