Trea Turner recorded four of the Philadelphia Phillies’ 18 hits Saturday in a heart-thumping 11-10 victory over the visiting Miami Marlins.

Five other Phillies hit multiple hits, including Bryson Stott and Johan Rojas, who registered three apiece. Max Kepler, J.T. Realmuto and Alec Bohm each added a single and a double for Philadelphia, which has won three in a row.

Miami dropped its fifth straight but made things interesting with six runs in the ninth inning against Jordan Romano. Dane Myers hit a three-run homer in the final frame, Graham Pauley added an RBI double and Liam Hicks slammed a two-run homer before Jose Alvarado came on to record the final out for his fifth save of the season.

The Phillies put up four runs in the third against Cal Quantrill (1-2), beginning with a leadoff double by Rojas. Two batters later, Turner delivered an RBI single before Quantrill walked Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber to load the bases.

Nick Castellanos’ sacrifice fly made it 2-0, and then Kepler’s double plated Harper and Schwarber to create a 4-0 margin.

Miami got one run back in the top of the fourth, but Philadelphia responded with three more runs in the bottom half, highlighted by Stott’s two-run double.

The Phillies tacked on two more runs in the fifth, capped by Stott’s RBI single that increased the lead to 9-1.

Philadelphia starter Taijuan Walker worked the first four innings, allowing one run and one hit with three walks and two strikeouts.

Matt Strahm (1-0) worked a scoreless fifth to pick up the win.

Four other Phillies relievers took the mound, including Carlos Hernandez, who allowed three runs in the sixth. He gave up an RBI double to Griffin Conine and a two-run single to Hicks as Miami clawed within 9-4.

However, the hosts responded with four straight hits against Patrick Monteverde in the seventh – from Stott, Turner, Harper and Schwarber – as their lead ballooned to 11-4.

Quantrill was charged with seven runs, eight hits and three walks in 3 1/3 innings.
