Bryan Reynolds hit a two-run home run and Ke’Bryan Hayes followed with a solo shot in the top of the 10th inning Saturday night, delivering the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates a 4-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants.

One night after the Giants’ Patrick Bailey homered on the final pitch of the game to produce a 3-0 win, the Pirates saved their power for their last at-bat against San Francisco’s fifth pitcher, Taylor Rogers (0-1).

With the extra-inning runner at second, Rogers got Andrew McCutchen to pop out before Reynolds hooked his fourth homer of the season inside the left-field foul pole for a two-run lead.

Hayes’ homer, his first of the year, came two pitches later.

Pirates closer David Bednar, who failed to get anyone out in the Giants’ three-run rally in the ninth in the series opener, served up a two-run homer to Jorge Soler on the third pitch he threw in the bottom of the inning. But he then overcame a one-out infield single by Thairo Estrada by striking out LeMonte Wade Jr. and Mike Yastrzemski for his fifth save.

The homer was Soler’s fifth of the season. It also scored extra-innings runner Bailey.

Hunter Stratton (1-0), who got the final two outs of the bottom of the ninth in a 1-1 game, was credited with the win.

For the second night in a row, starting pitchers dominated.

The Pirates pulled Martin Perez after the Giants had opened the scoring with an unearned run in the last of the sixth. A fielding error by shortstop Alika Williams set the stage for Wilmer Flores’ one-out double that put the Giants on top.

Perez was charged with just the unearned run and four hits in his six innings. He walked two and struck out four.

Giants starter Jordan Hicks faced just one batter with the lead, allowing a leadoff single to Connor Joe in the seventh. Joe came around to score after a single by Jack Suwinski and a walk to Jared Triolo loaded the bases for Rowdy Tellez’s sacrifice fly.

Hicks allowed one run and five hits in his six-plus innings. He struck out nine without walking anyone.

Reynolds, Hayes and Joe each had two hits for the Pirates, who outhit the Giants 11-7 en route to snapping a three-game losing streak.

Bailey had a pair of singles for the Giants, who lost for the second time in their past five games.
