Ryan O’Hearn and Dylan Carlson recorded RBI hits in the final two innings to lift the visiting Baltimore Orioles to a 2-1 win over the Boston Red Sox in the back end of a split doubleheader on Saturday night.

A duel between Baltimore starter Trevor Rogers and Boston counterpart Lucas Giolito remained scoreless after both bullpens took over, with the visitors — who recorded eight of the 13 total hits in the game — taking advantage of multiple walks in both of their run-scoring innings.

Baltimore broke the deadlock on O’Hearn’s line-drive RBI single to right. Gunnar Henderson scored the opening run after reaching on a fielder’s choice grounder with two outs.

Carlson then provided a huge insurance run with an RBI double in the ninth.

Rogers worked 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out five. Andrew Kittredge (1-0) earned the win and Seranthony Dominguez his first save of the season.

The Red Sox recorded just one single hit and left one runner on base through the first six innings against Rogers, as Kristian Campbell hit a leadoff single in the second.

After Trevor Story’s fielder’s choice grounder erased Campbell, Rogers set aside 15 consecutive batters before Rob Refsnyder was hit by a pitch with one out in the seventh.

The Red Sox were unable to take advantage of Giolito’s seven scoreless innings of six-hit ball. Abraham Toro had the lone RBI on a ninth-inning home run, while Campbell was 2-for-4.

Brennan Bernardino (2-2) took the loss.

After Rogers’ streak ended with Refsnyder being hit by a one-out pitch, Boston turned the seventh into a rally. Campbell dropped a one-out single into shallow right, but Kittredge relieved Rogers and retired the next two. Red Sox infielder Marcelo Mayer struck out for the third time in his MLB debut to end the inning.

The hosts also left two aboard in the eighth. Nick Sogard knocked a leadoff single through the left side, and after pinch runner David Hamilton stole second and Connor Wong walked, a flyout, strikeout and pop fly ended the inning in a span of nine pitches.

In the ninth, Carlson’s two-out double down the left field line scored Jorge Mateo, who walked and stole second after a leadoff walk to Emmanuel Rivera was erased on a 4-6-3 double play.

Toro made it a 2-1 game with a homer to begin Boston’s ninth. On a valiant effort to make the catch, Mateo had his glove on the ball but lost it as he tumbled into the home bullpen in deep center.
