Jose Ramirez singled in Steven Kwan with the tying run, stole second base and scored on Angel Martinez’s hit through the right side of the infield in the 10th inning, giving the Cleveland Guardians a 4-3 victory over the visiting Minnesota Twins on Thursday.

The stolen base was the 250th in the career of six-time All-Star Ramirez, who became the first primary third baseman in major league history to have 250 career home runs and 250 steals. He is the 24th player overall in the statistical club and the first to accomplish it with the Cleveland franchise.

Minnesota took a 3-2 lead in the top of the 10th on Jonah Bride’s sacrifice fly off Kolby Allard (1-0) that scored automatic runner Mickey Gasper. Justin Topa (1-2) pitched the 10th for the Twins in the game that included two rain delays totaling 2 hours and 23 minutes.

Kyle Manzardo singled home Gabriel Arias in the first inning and Jhonkensy Noel hammered a 450-foot homer in the fourth for Cleveland, which went 6-4 on a 10-game homestand against the Yankees, Red Sox and Twins. They were the Guardians’ only hits until the ninth.

Noel’s solo shot in the fourth off Simeon Woods Richardson landed six rows below the scoreboard in left field and was the Guardians’ longest this season. It was his second blast in six games after going homerless since Game 3 of the 2024 American League Championship Series against New York.

Minnesota trailed 2-0 before tying it in the seventh on RBI singles by Christian Vazquez and Carlos Correa. Harrison Bader and Vazquez scored the runs that were charged to Jakob Junis.

The Twins loaded the bases with two outs in the eighth immediately after a 2:06 rain delay, but Correa popped out against Tim Herrin.

Ty France and Bader both went 3-for-5 for the Twins. Minnesota is 1-3 on a seven-game trip that continues in Boston.

Guardians starter Ben Lively pitched 5 2/3 scoreless innings, scattering five hits while striking out two with no walks. The right-hander hasn’t allowed a run in three of his seven outings, all of which have occurred in day games.

Woods Richardson allowed two runs and two hits and walked a career-high five in 4 2/3 innings, remaining winless in four road appearances this year.

Cleveland center fielder Daniel Schneemann made a leaping grab of a Byron Buxton drive in the sixth, putting his glove in front of right fielder Noel’s as both leapt into the wall at the same time. Schneemann landed on the warning track, laughing as Noel helped him up.
