Miami Marlins center fielder Jazz Chisholm Jr. left Wednesday’s game against the visiting Minnesota Twins due to a stinger in his right shoulder.
He was injured while trying to steal second base after a leadoff single in the first inning. He ran into Twins second baseman Kyle Farmer and stayed on the ground for a minute in obvious pain.
Chisholm is batting .190 with one homer and one RBI in seven games this season.
Chisholm, 25, had 14 homers and 12 steals in just 60 games last season before his All-Star campaign was cut short by a stress fracture in his lower back.
