Jonah Bride had two hits, a walk and two RBIs as the visiting Miami Marlins defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 3-1 on Sunday afternoon to complete a three-game, season-ending sweep.

Bride extended his hitting streak to eight games.

Otto Lopez — a former Blue Jay — and Xavier Edwards added two hits each for Miami (62-100), which won its last four games.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 0-for-2 with two walks for Toronto (74-88) to finish the season with 199 hits. He was trying to become the sixth Blue Jay to reach 200 hits in a season.

Steward Berroa had two hits for the Blue Jays, who finished the season with a 1-5 homestand and dropped eight of their final nine contests.

Miami left-hander Ryan Weathers (5-6) allowed one run on three hits and two walks while striking out six in 6 1/3 innings.

Anthony Bender pitched 1 1/3 innings and worked around a leadoff walk in the ninth to earn his first save of the year.

The Marlins scored twice in the first inning against Toronto opener Ryan Burr (0-2). After singles by Jake Burger and Edwards and then a groundout, Bride delivered a two-run single.

The Blue Jays loaded the bases with no outs in the bottom of the first, but Weathers squirmed out of the jam with the 2-0 lead intact.

Ryan Yarbrough took over from Burr in the second inning and allowed four hits over 3 2/3 scoreless innings.

Toronto reliever Dillon Tate walked Bride to open the sixth. Dane Myers singled with one out, and Lopez grounded an RBI double over third base.

After allowing a leadoff single to Berroa in the second inning, Weathers retired 16 consecutive batters before Luis De Los Santos doubled past third base with one out in the seventh. Lake Bachar replaced Weathers and allowed a single to Berroa, then a run-scoring groundout to second from Joey Loperfido.

Before the game, Toronto recalled left-hander Brandon Eisert from Triple-A Buffalo and optioned right-hander Yariel Rodriguez to the organization’s spring training complex. Eisert pitched perfect eighth and ninth innings on Sunday.
