Luis Castillo pitched seven scoreless innings for his first victory of the season and Cal Raleigh had four hits, including a homer, as the Seattle Mariners blanked the Colorado Rockies 7-0 on a chilly Saturday night in Denver.

Julio Rodriguez went 4-for-5 with two RBIs and two stolen bases for the Mariners, who extended their winning streak to four games.

Colorado lost its sixth straight.

The Rockies’ grounds crew had to clear the field of snow earlier in the day after Friday’s game was postponed because of inclement weather. The temperature at first pitch was 33 degrees, with occasional flurries during the game.

Castillo (1-4) allowed just two hits, walked one and struck out nine.

Rockies starter Dakota Hudson (0-4) lasted four-plus innings. He gave up four runs on seven hits, with five walks and one strikeout.

The Mariners scored in four consecutive innings, starting in the second. Raleigh led off the frame, hitting a first-pitch sinker just over the wall in left field. It was his team-leading fourth homer of the season.

Rodriguez opened the third by chopping a single into left field. He stole second and scored on Raleigh’s two-out single to right to make it 2-0.

In the fourth, three consecutive two-out singles by Seattle pushed the lead to 3-0. Rodriguez drove in Josh Rojas with the last of those singles.

The Mariners pulled away with four runs in the fifth.

Raleigh led off with a walk, ending Hudson’s night. Ty France greeted reliever Victor Vodnik with a single to center before Mitch Garver singled to left, loading the bases for Jonatan Clase, who lined a single to right.

The ball rolled under the glove of right fielder Sean Bouchard, clearing the bases. The speedy Clase was waved home, but second baseman Alan Trejo’s relay throw to catcher Elias Diaz just nabbed the rookie at the plate.

Rojas then drew a walk, took second on a groundout and scored on Rodriguez’s single up the middle to make it 7-0.

The snow started falling harder in the fifth inning, with first baseman France losing track of a popup by Bouchard that fell just in front of the bag for the Rockies’ second hit of the night. Colorado’s only other hit off Castillo was a two-out liner to center by Diaz in the fourth.
