The Seattle Mariners avoided going to arbitration with right-hander Bryce Miller by reaching an agreement on a 2026 contract with a club option for 2027, the team announced Tuesday.

Financial terms were not disclosed. Miller filed for a salary of $2.625 million for 2026 and the Mariners countered with $2.25 million, according to multiple reports.

Seattle has agreed to terms with all seven of its arbitration-eligible players for the coming season: Miller and fellow right-handers Matt Brash, Logan Gilbert and George Kirby, left-hander Gabe Speier, outfielder Randy Arozarena and infielder/outfielder Luke Raley.

Miller, 27, was 4-6 last season with a 5.68 ERA, 34 walks and 74 strikeouts in 90 1/3 innings over 18 games (all starts). He twice was placed on the injured list with right elbow inflammation (May 14-31 and June 10-Aug. 19).

He was a key player for the Mariners in the postseason, going 1-0 with a 2.51 ERA, five walks and nine strikeouts in 14 1/3 innings. He allowed one run and two hits over six innings in winning Game 1 of the American League Championship Series against the Toronto Blue Jays. The effort helped Seattle’s pitching staff after the team’s 15-inning series clincher over the Detroit Tigers in the ALDS.

Miller also allowed one run in four innings in starting Game 5 of the ALCS, a 6-2 victory for the Mariners.

For his career, Miller is 24-21 with a 4.01 ERA, 105 walks and 364 strikeouts in 402 innings over 74 regular-season games (all starts).
