Christian Walker scored from first base on Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s walk-off double as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the San Francisco Giants 2-1 on Sunday in Phoenix.

Walker drew a leadoff walk in the bottom of the ninth from Tyler Rogers (0-3) and Gurriel followed with a double into the left-field corner to easily score the winning run.

Miguel Castro (2-1) pitched a scoreless ninth inning for Arizona, which has won three straight after losing the series opener on Thursday.

Thairo Estrada had two of San Francisco’s three hits. The loss overshadowed another strong outing by Giants starter Logan Webb, who allowed one run on three hits over seven innings.

After both teams went hitless in the first three innings, the Giants broke through on Michael Conforto’s solo homer with one out in the fourth. The 373-foot shot was Conforto’s third in his last five games.

Conforto’s homer was the only hit allowed by Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt, who was making his third career start. He walked three and struck out five over five innings while throwing 86 pitches.

Arizona pulled even in the fifth against Webb when Geraldo Perdomo grounded into a fielder’s choice and scored on Josh Rojas’ double into the right-field corner.

Webb threw 98 pitches and recorded three walks and three strikeouts. He has given up two runs or fewer in each of his last five starts.

After Jose Ruiz relieved Pfaadt in the sixth inning, Estrada hit a leadoff double and moved to third on Conforto’s groundout before J.D. Davis struck out and Blake Sabol flied out to center.

The D-backs threatened in the seventh when Gabriel Moreno singled and stole second base with two outs, but Perdomo flied out to end the inning.

Giants infielder Casey Schmitt went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts after going 7-for-12 with a home run in the first three games of the series.

The D-backs won despite being held to four hits. Arizona second baseman Ketel Marte went 0-for-3, snapping his 13-game on-base streak and eight-game hitting streak.
