Justin Turner hit a grand slam in his home debut as the Seattle Mariners defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 10-2 Friday night in the opener of a three-game interleague series between division leaders.

Victor Robles, Luke Raley and Mitch Haniger also went deep and Bryan Woo (5-1) pitched seven scoreless innings for the Mariners, who won for the fifth time in their past seven games and remained tied with Houston atop the American League West.

The National League East-leading Phillies lost their fifth in a row and dropped to 3-10 since the All-Star break.

Phillies right-hander Tyler Phillips (3-1) suffered his first major league loss. Phillips, who pitched a shutout against Cleveland in his previous start, couldn’t make it out of the second inning. He allowed eight runs on five hits in 1 2/3 innings, with three walks and one strikeout.

Robles hit Phillips’ first pitch of the game 426 feet into the second deck in left field.

The Mariners scored seven times in the second to pull away.

Dylan Moore drew a one-out walk and Haniger lined a single to center. Raley then hit a 459-foot blast into the third deck in right field — just the second Mariner to reach that spot in the 25-year history of Safeco Field/T-Mobile Park after Daniel Vogelbach in 2019 — to make it 4-0.

A two-out single by Robles and walks to Randy Arozarena and Cal Raleigh loaded the bases for Turner, acquired from Toronto at Tuesday’s trade deadline. The veteran lined a shot over the Phillies’ bullpen in left field to double Seattle’s lead and end Phillips’ night.

The Mariners tacked on a run in the fourth as Arozarena, also making his home debut after coming over in a trade with Tampa Bay, grounded a one-out single to left. Raleigh walked and Turner singled to right to load the bases. Arozarena scored as Josh Rojas grounded into a force out.

Haniger homered to left off Jose Alvarado with two outs in the seventh as the M’s reached double-digits.

The Phillies avoided the shutout with two runs in the ninth off Jhonathan Diaz. Alec Bohm led off with a double, Brandon Marsh hit a triple, J.T. Realmuto walked and Weston Wilson grounded an RBI single into center.

Woo, a right-hander, gave up five hits, didn’t walk a batter and fanned six. It was the longest outing of his MLB career.

Philadelphia’s Bryce Harper went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as his hitless streak reached 23 at-bats.

Phillies backup catcher Garrett Stubbs took the mound in the bottom of the eighth and retired the side in order.
