Stuart Fairchild, Will Benson and Jonathan India drove in two runs each to propel the visiting Cincinnati Reds past the St. Louis Cardinals 9-4 on Saturday.

India extended his hitting streak to 11 games with two doubles. He hit a double for the seventh straight game, setting a Reds record, and he ran his multiple-hit streak to eight games.

Austin Wynns hit three doubles, scored twice and drove in a run for Cincinnati. Elly De La Cruz had an RBI double and a triple.

Reds starter Carson Spiers (2-1) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits in six innings.

Paul Goldschmidt hit a homer for the Cardinals and Matt Carpenter went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.

St. Louis starter Sonny Gray (9-5) allowed six runs (three earned) on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings.

The Reds moved ahead 2-0 in the third inning on doubles by Wynns, India and De La Cruz.

The Cardinals cut their deficit to 2-1 in the bottom of the inning. Carpenter hit a double and scored on Michael Siani’s single.

Cincinnati extended its lead to 8-1 in the fifth inning. De La Cruz hit a one-out triple and Spencer Steer walked and stole second base before Gray hit Jake Fraley.

Gray’s day ended when Noelvi Marte hit a potential double-play grounder that Nolan Arenado couldn’t handle at third base. De La Cruz scored and Marte reached base on the error.

John King relieved Gray and failed to slow the Reds’ attack.

Fairchild hit a two-run single, then Marte and Fairchild executed a double steal to set up Benson’s two-run single. Benson stole second base and scored on Wynns’ double.

Goldschmidt’s solo homer in the sixth inning cut Cincinnati’s lead to 8-2.

India hit an RBI double in the seventh to make it 9-2. Carpenter’s RBI single in the bottom of the inning pulled St. Louis within 9-3.

Nolan Gorman’s run-scoring single eighth inning reduced the margin to 9-4.
