Davis Schneider hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the 14th inning and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates 5-3 Friday night.

Schneider hit his seventh homer of the season with two outs against Kyle Nicolas (0-1) on a blast to right to extend Toronto’s winning streak to four games. The Blue Jays opened a seven-game homestand with their first walk-off win of the season.

Each team tallied a run in the 11th and 12th innings to keep the game going. Toronto’s Genesis Cabrera (2-1) pitched 1 2/3 perfect innings with three strikeouts to earn the win.

Pittsburgh’s loss in the opener of the three-game series dropped them to 1-2 on their five-game road trip.

Toronto starter Jose Berrios allowed one run and six hits with five strikeouts in seven innings.

Pittsburgh starter Bailey Falter allowed no runs, two hits and two walks while striking out five in six innings.

Nick Gonzales and former Blue Jay Rowdy Tellez led off the Pittsburgh fifth with singles. It was the second hit of the game for Gonzales. Two outs later, Andrew McCutchen hit an RBI single to left for his second hit of the game.

Colin Holderman replaced Falter in the seventh and hit George Springer with a pitch with two outs. Pinch hitter Daniel Vogelbach hit an RBI double on a fly ball to center field that Ji Hwan Bae could not locate in the twilight with the roof open.

Automatic runner Bae took third on McCutchen’s groundout against Nate Pearson in the 11th. Bae scored when Springer made a diving catch on a sacrifice fly to right by Bryan Reynolds.

Springer hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th against Hunter Stratton.

Connor Joe started the 12th on second and took third on Oneil Cruz’s groundout against Tim Mayza. Joe scored on a sacrifice fly by Ke’Bryan Hayes.

In the bottom of the 12th, automatic runner Cavan Biggio moved to third on a flyout and scored on Kevin Kiermaier’s sacrifice fly against Carmen Mlodzinski.

Cabrera, who got the final two outs of the 13th, set down Pittsburgh in order in the 14th.
