Byron Buxton hit a two-run homer, Trevor Larnach added a solo shot, and the Minnesota Twins held on for a 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night in Minneapolis.

Ty France and Brooks Lee drove in one run apiece for Minnesota, which won its second game in a row and will go for a series sweep on Thursday afternoon. Luke Keaschall went 1-for-3, drew a walk, stole two bases and scored a run for the Twins.

Andrew Benintendi and Edgar Quero drove in one run apiece for Chicago, which lost its third straight game and ninth in its past 10.

Twins right-hander Justin Topa (1-1) earned the win with a scoreless inning of relief. Danny Coulombe pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to earn his first save of the season and the fourth of his career. He got Michael A. Taylor to fly out to center to end the game.

White Sox right-hander Jordan Leasure (0-1) allowed one run — the homer by Larnach — in one inning of relief.

The Twins opened the scoring in the bottom of the third. France singled to center field to drive in Keaschall.

Larnach increased the Twins’ lead to 2-0 with an RBI single to center in the fourth.

The White Sox rallied to grab a 3-2 lead in the fifth.

Brooks Baldwin scored on a wild pitch for Chicago’s first run. Moments later, Benintendi delivered an RBI single to center to even the score at 2-all. The White Sox completed their big inning as the second baseman Keaschall committed a fielding error on a fielder’s choice ground ball that allowed Joshua Palacios to score.

The Twins battled back to even the score at 3-all in the bottom of the fifth. France drew a leadoff walk, advanced to third on a single by Ryan Jeffers and scored on Lee’s single to left.

Minnesota regained a 4-3 lead on Larnach’s solo blast in the sixth. He pulled a pitch to right for his second homer in as many nights and his third home run of the season.

Buxton gave the Twins additional breathing room with a two-run home run in the seventh. He belted a 414-foot shot to left-center field to put the Twins on top 6-3.
