Thairo Estrada, Mitch Haniger and Joc Pederson hit home runs, Keaton Winn recorded his first big-league win and the San Francisco Giants finished off a much-needed sweep of the visiting Colorado Rockies with a 6-3 victory on Sunday night.

Recording their seventh and eighth multiple-run innings of the three-game series, the Giants (73-70) moved within 1 1/2 games of the final National League wild-card spot.

A two-run triple by Hunter Goodman and a sacrifice fly by Sean Bouchard gave the Rockies (51-91) a 3-0 lead in the second inning before Winn (1-2) and three relievers combined for seven innings of three-hit, shutout ball the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, the Giants needed just two innings to move ahead for good, beginning with a two-run second that featured a run-scoring groundout by Brandon Crawford and an RBI single by Luis Matos.

San Francisco then brought out the heavy lumber against Rockies starter Peter Lambert (3-7) in the third, with Estrada leading off with his 12th homer of the season and, four batters later, Haniger launching his sixth, a two-run shot that put the hosts up for good at 5-3.

Pederson’s homer, a solo shot that was his 13th, came in the fifth.

Winn bounced back from his early issues to retire 12 of the 14 men he faced in the third through sixth innings. He wound up charged with three runs on five hits in six innings, striking out a season-best nine without allowing a walk.

The rookie’s previous high for strikeouts had been four in a five-inning relief effort against the San Diego Padres in June.

Camilo Doval, who worked a one-hit ninth, was credited with his 37th save.

Haniger and LaMonte Wade Jr. each had two hits and scored twice for the Giants, while Estrada and Pederson also had two-hit games. San Francisco outhit the guests 11-6.

Elehuris Montero collected a double and two singles for the Rockies, who completed a 1-5 trip to Arizona and San Francisco.

Lambert allowed all six Giants runs in five innings. He served up eight hits and two walks, striking out two.
