Matt Chapman capped a monster series with a go-ahead single, Heliot Ramos hit his first home run of the season and the San Francisco Giants completed a three-game sweep of the visiting Colorado Rockies with a 4-1 triumph Sunday afternoon.

Jordan Hicks (4-1) combined with four relievers on a three-hitter, allowing the Giants to win a fourth straight and finish off a 6-3 homestand.

Ryan McMahon homered in the first inning, his seventh of the season, but that was the last of the Rockies’ scoring against Hicks and relievers Sean Hjelle, Luke Jackson, Taylor Rogers and Camilo Doval.

The only other Rockies hits came consecutively in the fifth when, still up 1-0, Colorado put runners at second and third with one out following a single by Jake Cave and a double by Jordan Beck.

But Hicks struck out Hunter Goodman and, after walking Jacob Stallings to load the bases, got Charlie Blackmon to pop out to shortstop.

Hicks was done at that point, having allowed one run and three hits in five innings. He walked one and struck out one.

Doval, who threw a 1-2-3 ninth to cap four hitless innings by San Francisco relievers, was credited with his eighth save.

The Giants made Hicks a winner by scoring three times against hard-luck Dakota Hudson (1-7) in the bottom of the fifth, an inning that featured two infield singles and two other ground balls that the Rockies couldn’t turn into double plays.

LaMonte Wade Jr. had the Giants’ only legitimate hit of the inning, a one-out single to right that chased home Marco Luciano with the tying run. The other runs scored on an infield single by Chapman and a fielding error on McMahon, the Rockies’ third baseman.

Hudson was pulled after the error, charged with three runs (two earned) on five hits in 4 2/3 innings. He walked two and struck out three.

Ramos’ home run, just the second of his 45-game big-league career, was a solo shot that capped the scoring in the sixth.

Chapman reached base three times in the game, adding a walk and hit batsman to his single. He finished the series 8-for-10 with seven runs scored.

Wade, Curt Casali and Mike Yastrzemski had two hits apiece for the Giants, whose four-game winning streak is a season best.

The Giants outhit the Rockies 9-3.
