Will Smith’s tiebreaking two-run double and Jason Heyward’s two-run triple keyed a seven-run explosion in the 11th inning that propelled the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers past the San Francisco Giants 14-7 on Saturday.

In a game full of fireworks – including a Shohei Ohtani home run – the Dodgers avenged Friday’s walk-off loss after the Giants elected to intentionally walk Ohtani to lead off the 11th with extra-innings runner Enrique Hernandez at second.

Smith’s double to the fence off San Francisco’s Sean Hjelle (3-2) got the uprising going. Freddie Freeman hit an RBI double and Chris Taylor added an RBI single before Heyward lashed his triple down the right-field line.

Miguel Rojas’ sacrifice fly delivered the inning’s seventh run.

Ryan Yarbrough pitched a perfect 11th in a non-save situation to secure a win for Daniel Hudson (5-1), who allowed the Giants’ game-tying run in the 10th.

Los Angeles went up 7-6 in the top of the 10th on Rojas’ one-out single that scored Taylor. But Hudson couldn’t hold the lead in the bottom of the inning, serving up a one-out RBI double to pinch-hitter David Villar.

San Francisco loaded the bases before Hudson struck out Patrick Bailey and got Matt Chapman to foul out.

After Ohtani’s 26th homer of the season, a solo shot, put the Dodgers on top 2-1 in the third, the Giants ended LA starter Tyler Glasnow’s day with a four-spot in the bottom of the inning. Jorge Soler had an RBI double, while Bailey and Chapman added run-scoring singles as the hosts went up 5-2.

Glasnow was pulled at inning’s end, charged with five runs on seven hits in three innings. He walked two and struck out one.

But San Francisco, which started Erik Miller for just one inning in an opener role, couldn’t hold the lead with Spencer Howard on the mound in the top of the fourth. Rojas, Gavin Lux and Smith had RBI singles to draw the visitors even then reliever Randy Rodriguez walked Freeman with the bases loaded to put the Dodgers up 6-5.

Brett Wisely’s two-out single scored Chapman in the fifth, leaving the game tied at six.

Rojas finished with three hits and four RBIs for the Dodgers, who won for the fifth time in their last six games. Smith also had three hits to go with three RBIs, while Heyward collected two hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Chapman went 3-for-5 for the Giants, who won Friday’s series opener 5-3 on Wisely’s walk-off two-run homer.
