The Los Angeles Dodgers made several roster moves Tuesday, bringing in Nick Ramirez from the New York Yankees, claiming former first-round draft pick Taylor Trammell off waivers from the Seattle Mariners and designating Matt Gage for assignment.

Ramirez, a left-handed pitcher, was acquired in exchange for cash considerations.

In a related move, the Dodgers transferred right-handed pitcher Brusdar Graterol to the 60-day injured list.

Ramirez, 34, appeared in 32 games for the Yankees last season, producing a 2.66 ERA and striking out 28 batters in 40 2/3 innings. He went 1-2 and converted one of his two save chances.

Designated for assignment by New York March 30, Ramirez has also spent time with the Detroit Tigers (2019-20) and San Diego Padres (2021). He has a career record of 7-7 with a 4.04 ERA in 96 games.

Trammell, a 26-year-old outfielder, was selected 35th overall in the 2016 draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He made the big leagues with the Mariners but failed to hit at least .200 in any of his three seasons covering 116 games in Seattle.

With the Mariners, Trammell hit 15 home runs and drove in 39 runs but slashed only .168/.270/.368. Last season he managed only a .130 average in his 22 big-league games.

Gage, a left-hander, spent 2022 with the Toronto Blue Jays and 2023 with the Houston Astros. The 31-year-old has an ERA of 1.83 through 16 career games with Toronto and Houston.

If he clears waivers, Gage can be sent to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
