Gavin Stone went seven strong innings, Teoscar Hernandez had a home run with three RBIs and the Los Angeles Dodgers extended their winning streak to seven games with a 3-1 victory over the visiting Miami Marlins on Wednesday afternoon.

The Dodgers pulled off a perfect 6-0 homestand with series sweeps over the Atlanta Braves and Marlins, while also winning for the 14th time in their last 16 games. The visit home was a far cry from Los Angeles’ previous 3-6 homestand that included three consecutive series defeats.

Bryan De La Cruz hit a home run among his two hits and Ryan Weathers gave up three runs over six innings as the Marlins went 1-5 on a six-game road trip that also included a stop at Oakland.

After the Marlins scored first in the opening two games of the series, only to lose each contest, the Dodgers got the scoring started Wednesday. Freddie Freeman had a two-out single in the first inning, went to second on a balk and third on a wild pitch before scoring on a Hernandez single.

The Marlins tied it in the fourth inning on De La Cruz’s home run, his second in four at-bats after also hitting one in Tuesday’s game. It was his eighth of the season.

Freeman started another two-out rally as the Dodgers moved back in front in the sixth inning. His double was followed by Hernandez’s full-count home run to left that just cleared the top of the wall over the outstretched glove of Marlins left fielder Nick Gordon. It was Hernandez’s 10th and one off Shohei Ohtani’s team lead.

Stone (3-1) gave up one run on six hits over seven innings with no walks and four strikeouts. It was his third consecutive start of at least six innings pitched and one run allowed, as well as his fifth consecutive start of two runs or less.

Michael Grove pitched a scoreless eighth inning for Los Angeles and Daniel Hudson pitched a scoreless ninth for his second save.

Weathers (2-4) gave up five hits with one walk and three strikeouts.
