Mark Vientos’ two-out, two-run double in the sixth inning gave the Mets the lead, and four Mets pitchers combined to make it stand up as New York made it two straight over the host San Francisco Giants with a 2-1 victory Saturday night.

Robbie Ray, whose All-Star spot went to Mets starter David Peterson when the Giants starter became ineligible to pitch, took a four-hit shutout and 1-0 lead into the sixth before walking Juan Soto and Starling Marte sandwiching a flyout.

After Brett Baty’s grounder to first advanced the baserunners, Vientos sailed his double into left field, giving New York the lead for good.

Peterson (7-4) pitched a scoreless last of the sixth, then handed off the ball to Reed Garrett, followed by Ryne Stanek and Edwin Diaz — all of whom pitched an inning apiece. Diaz recorded his 22nd save when he struck out Mike Yastrzemski and retired Patrick Bailey on a liner to first baseman Pete Alonso after serving up a one-out double to Jung Hoo Lee in the ninth.

The Giants went 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position in the loss, which was the eighth in their last 10 games.

Peterson allowed the only Giants run while surrendering eight hits in his six innings. He walked three and struck out four.

San Francisco’s lone run came in the fourth after Willy Adames and Matt Chapman singled to lead off the inning. A one-out walk to Casey Schmitt loaded the bases and Lee’s fielder’s choice grounder to second allowed Adames to scamper home.

Peterson limited the damage to one run when he got Luis Matos to pop up with runners at first and third to end the inning. The Giants got two or more guys on base in five of the left-hander’s six innings.

Ray (9-5) was pulled after Vientos’ double in the sixth, charged with both New York runs on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. He walked three and struck out three.

Marte had a pair of doubles for the Mets, whose seven hits included the three doubles and a triple by Francisco Alvarez. In running its winning streak to six games, New York went just 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position.

Lee had three hits for the Giants, who had just one extra-base hit in the game. Wilmer Flores chipped in with a pair of singles.
