Lance Lynn and three relievers combined in a two-hitter as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the visiting Cincinnati Reds 2-0 Sunday

Lynn (4-3) allowed two hits while walking one and striking out six in six innings.

Andrew Kittredge, JoJo Romero and Ryan Helsley closed out the last three innings, with Helsley converting his 30th consecutive save to extend his team record.

Masyn Winn went 2-for-4 with an RBI double for the Cardinals. Pedro Pages went 3-for-4 and scored a run.

Reds starter Hunter Greene (5-4) allowed one run on four hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out six.

Cincinnati second baseman Jonathan India hit a double to extend his hitting streak to 12 games. He has at least one double in eight straight games, which is a team record.

The Cardinals threatened in the second inning but didn’t break through. Brendan Donovan drew a leadoff walk and went to third on Pages’ two-out single.

After Pages took second on a wild pitch, Michael Siani flied out to leave two runners in scoring position.

India hit a two-out double in the third inning, but Elly De La Cruz flied out to strand him.

Lynn dodged trouble in the fifth inning after Stuart Fairchild hit a one-out single and stole second base. Will Benson lined out, then Luke Maile struck out.

The Cardinals broke the scoreless tie in the fifth. Pages hit a lead-off single, moved up on Winn’s single and scored on Alec Burleson’s single to put St. Louis up 1-0.

Greene hit Willson Contreras to load the bases. After Paul Goldschmidt flied out, Sam Moll relieved Greene and retired Donovan on an inning-ending groundout.

The Cardinals doubled their lead to 2-0 in the sixth inning. Nolan Arenado hit a single, moved up on Pages’ single and scored on Winn’s double.
