Christian Yelich had five hits, including his 300th career double, and drove in five runs to pace the host Milwaukee Brewers to a 12-5 comeback victory over the White Sox on Friday night, extending Chicago’s losing streak to a season-high nine games.

Yelich went 5-for-6 with two doubles and three singles. His second double, the 300th of his 12-year career, keyed a six-run seventh inning when the Brewers went in front 10-5. Yelich also singled home one of Milwaukee’s two runs in the eighth.

The Brewers pounded out a season-high 23 hits, and also left 16 on base. Enoli Paredes (1-0) got the win with one scoreless inning of relief.

The White Sox have lost 13 of their past 14 and 15 of 18.

Milwaukee erased a 5-4 deficit with its seventh-inning outburst. Sal Frelick singled to open the frame against Michael Soroka (0-6). After a flyout, Blake Perkins and Brice Turang singled to tie it 5-5. John Brebbia relieved, and William Contreras lined an RBI single. Yelich’s two-run double to left made it 8-5.

Jake Bauers added an RBI single, and Frelick later capped the inning with a run-scoring double.

Chicago went in front 5-4 with two runs in the fifth on a sacrifice fly by Gavin Sheets and an RBI single by Korey Lee.

Milwaukee scored three in the fourth for a 4-3 lead. Frelick walked, and Joey Ortiz and Perkins followed with back-to-back singles to pull Milwaukee within 3-2. Contreras walked with one out to load the bases and Yelich lined a two-run single to right.

The White Sox erased a 1-0 deficit with three runs in the third inning. Paul DeJong opened with his eighth homer. Corey Julks added a two-run double.

The Brewers scored one in the second when Frelick singled to open the inning and Ortiz doubled into the right field corner.
