The Milwaukee Brewers activated left-hander DL Hall from the 60-day injured list to start Sunday’s game against the visiting Cincinnati Reds.
Also on Sunday, the Brewers placed left-hander Hoby Milner (left shoulder impingement) on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Friday, and transferred right-hander Enoli Paredes (right forearm tendinitis) from the 15- to 60-day IL.
Hall, 25, sprained his left knee while fielding a bunt on April 20 in a 12-5 win at the St. Louis Cardinals. He is 0-1 with a 7.71 ERA, 10 walks and 13 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings over four starts.
A first-round selection (21st overall) by Baltimore in the 2017 MLB Draft, Hall was 4-1 with a 4.36 ERA, 11 walks and 42 strikeouts over 33 innings in two seasons (2022-23) with the Orioles. Baltimore sent him to Milwaukee on Feb. 1 in a trade that sent All-Star right-hander Corbin Burnes to the Orioles.
Milner, 33, last pitched on Thursday, going 1 2/3 innings and allowing three hits, two runs and one walk in a 16-7 victory at the Atlanta Braves. He is 4-1 with one save, a 4.92 ERA, 14 walks and 52 strikeouts in 53 innings over 51 games (one start) this season.
Milner is 9-5 with a 3.82 ERA in parts of eight seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies (2017-18), Tampa Bay Rays (2018-19), Los Angeles Angels (2020) and Brewers (2021-present).
Parades, 28, is 1-0 with one save, a 1.08 ERA, eight walks and 12 strikeouts in 16 2/3 innings over 14 relief appearances for the Brewers this season. His last appearance for Milwaukee was on July 2 in a 4-3 win at the Colorado Rockies.
