The Atlanta Braves placed outfielder Michael Harris II on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a strained left hamstring.

Also on Saturday, the Braves selected Ramon Laureano to the major league roster and transferred right-hander Spencer Strider to the 60-day injured list to make room on the 40-man roster. Strider is expected to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow with an internal brace.

Harris exited Atlanta’s 7-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in the first inning with tightness in his left hamstring.

“He said he felt something,” Braves manager Brian Snitker said. “That usually is not good.”

Atlanta already is dealing with the season-ending injury to reigning National League MVP Ronald Acuna Jr.

Harris, 23, is batting .250 with five homers and 20 RBIs in 67 games this season. He is hitting .285 with 42 homers and 141 RBIs in 319 career games with the Braves and was named the 2022 National League Rookie of the Year.

Laureano, who turns 30 in July, batted .143 with one homer and four RBIs in 31 games with the Cleveland Guardians this season. The Guardians released Laureano on May 25 before the Braves signed him four days later.

Laureano batted .362 with three homers and 12 RBIs in 14 games at Triple-A Gwinnett.

He is a career .246 hitter with 72 homers and 223 RBIs in 543 games with the Oakland Athletics (2018-23) and Guardians. He played 72 total games in Cleveland between the 2022 and ’23 seasons.
