Brent Rooker and Shea Langeliers homered in a three-run seventh inning to help the Athletics to a 7-4 comeback win against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday evening in Denver, Colo.

Tyler Soderstrom had two hits, an RBI and a run scored, Lawrence Butler went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the leadoff spot, and Jacob Wilson had a two-run double as part of a three-run sixth after hitting into a triple play earlier in the game.

A’s left-hander JP Sears (1-1) allowed three runs and six hits in 6 1/3 innings, striking out two and walking two.

Rockies right-hander German Marquez (0-1) was spotted a three-run lead but couldn’t hold it, partly because he matched his career high with six walks. He surrendered four runs — three earned — and five hits in 5-plus innings, striking out three.

Sean Bouchard and Ryan McMahon homered for the Rockies, who have lost six straight.

Bouchard hit a high fly in the second inning that cleared the wall in left for a two-run homer and a 2-0 lead. The Rockies loaded the bases with no outs in the third but only scored one run on a double play ground-out to make it 3-0.

Sears would then retire the next 11 in a row. Butler scored on a throwing error in the fourth to make it 3-1 and begin the Athletics’ comeback.

Marquez walked his fifth and sixth batters of the game to start the sixth and then gave up a double just inside the first-base line to Soderstrom to allow the A’s to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Wilson then dropped a two-run double just inside the left field line off Jimmy Herget to give the A’s a 4-3 lead.

Rooker blasted a solo homer to center with one out in the seventh to make it 5-3.

After JJ Bleday drew his third walk of the day, Langeliers went deep over the fence in center field to stretch the Athletics’ lead to 7-3.

McMahon went deep in the eighth to provide the final score of 7-4.

The Rockies turned their fifth triple play in franchise history and first since Sept. 1, 2015, when Wilson hit a one-hopper to McMahon at third with runners on first and second in the second inning.

McMahon stepped on his bag, threw to second and Kyle Farmer completed the triple play with a relay to Michael Toglia at first.
