Aaron Judge homered twice and Franchy Cordero hit a two-run homer to support a strong performance from New York pitchers as the Yankees defeated the host Baltimore Orioles 5-3 on Sunday afternoon.

Judge had two solo shots for his third and fourth homers of the season. The home runs came in the third and eighth innings.

Nestor Cortes (2-0) pitched 5 1/3 innings and picked up the victory, giving up two runs and four hits. Four relievers worked behind him.

The Yankees won two of three games in their first road series of the season. The Orioles scored a total of four runs in the last two games.

Baltimore’s Adley Rutschman went 4-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday. He had the team’s first three hits through the first 5 1/3 innings. Ryan Mountcastle and Anthony Santander followed with doubles, the latter knocking in two runs.

Judge had three hits and scored three runs. He singled in the first inning and scored on Giancarlo Stanton’s one-out single.

Cordero hit a two-run homer in the fifth for his second long ball of the year as New York built a 4-0 lead.

Rutschman, a former No. 1 overall draft pick who made his debut in the major leagues last year, hit his second home run of the season in the eighth inning off Yankees reliever Jimmy Cordero.

Albert Abreu, Ron Marinaccio and Clay Holmes were the other Yankees relievers. Holmes worked the ninth and notched a save for the second day in a row.

Orioles starter Tyler Wells (0-1) took the loss, as he was charged with four runs in six innings. He gave up six hits and struck out six without a walk.

Logan Gillaspie gave up Judge’s second homer of the game as the first batter he faced in the eighth.

Anthony Rizzo and Cordero both had two hits for New York.
