Curt Casali hit a go-ahead two-run home run off Andrew Bellatti with one out in the top of the 10th inning to lift the San Francisco Giants past the host Philadelphia Phillies 5-4 on Monday.
Evan Longoria also homered and now has five home runs in his last five games. Wilmer Flores added a home run and two RBIs for the Giants, who won their second straight.
Giants starter Logan Webb tossed eight-plus strong innings and gave up four hits and three runs to go along with 10 strikeouts and no walks. Webb retired 13 batters in a row during one stretch.
Dominic Leone (3-0) earned the win in relief. Camilo Doval allowed an unearned run in the 10th for his eighth save in nine chances.
Nick Castellanos, Rhys Hoskins and Kyle Schwarber each homered for the slumping Phillies, who lost their fourth in a row. Castellanos and Schwarber had two hits apiece.
Phillies starter Kyle Gibson allowed three hits and two runs in six innings. Gibson struck out four and walked one. Bellatti (1-1) took the loss.
Longoria hit a go-ahead solo homer to left off Corey Knebel with two outs in the ninth for a 3-2 Giants lead. But Schwarber lofted a solo homer to center to lead off the bottom of the ninth and tie the game at 3.
After Casali homered and brought home automatic runner Stuart Fairchild, the Phillies managed one run in the bottom of the 10th on an Alec Bohm sacrifice fly, but it wasn’t enough.
The Giants managed only two hits through the first five innings, singles by Mike Yastrzemski and Joc Pederson.
The Phillies went ahead 1-0 in the second when Castellanos hit a solo homer to left field, his second shot in two days. Hoskins launched a solo homer to left in the fourth and the Phillies took a 2-0 advantage.
San Francisco tied the game at 2 in the sixth when Yastrzemski walked and Flores crushed a two-run homer to left off Gibson.
Each team had only three hits through the first seven innings.
Darin Ruf appeared to hit a leadoff single to open the eighth, but Mickey Moniak sprinted in and made a sliding catch in center field. It was Moniak’s first game of the season after recovering from a broken right hand.
