Microsoft (MSFT) cofounder Bill Gates recently revealed details about his three-hour dinner with Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago weeks ago to a popular outlet. The outlet revealed some details of the sit-down meal in Florida and said that Gates was “impressed” with the president-elect.
CWEB reported on Trump’s post on his social media platform, Truth Social, weeks ago. He mentioned that the Microsoft founder had requested a meeting at his Palm Beach resort. He also noted that he missed Musk and his son X at Mar-a-Lago as they had not recently visited him.
Although it was a private discussion, the Wall Street Journal revealed some details about the meeting between Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Donald Trump after revealing these details to the popular outlet.
Bill Gates said that he met Donald Trump with a close confidante of his and with Susie Wiles, the incoming White House Chief of Staff. The four of them had a productive meeting and discussed many topics, mainly global health, which is the focus of Gates’s philanthropic efforts. Gates described it as a “long and quite intriguing dinner.”
The Microsoft founder also said that the four discussed “wide-ranging” topics, although the focus was on his favorite area of work, global health.
Bill Gates said that Trump seemed eager to involve his administration in helping to eradicate global health challenges such as polio. Gates mentioned it would be a historic milestone if the disease were eradicated during Trump’s presidency.
