On August 9, Aptos Labs announced that it was collaborating with Microsoft to make Web3 mainstream. The California based company will use Microsoft Azure OpenAI service to quicken the adoption of Web3 by the masses as Web3 is still being considered as a new technology and needs to go mainstream to replace Web2. Aptos’ token price increased about 15 percent after the Wednesday announcement.
In a press release Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs said that they shared a vision with Microsoft which was to make Web3 technology “accessible to more people and organizations than ever before.”
Rashmi Misra, General Manager of AI & Emerging Technologies at Microsoft that they aimed “to democratize the use of blockchain.” The GM also said that the fusion of Aptos Labs’ technology with the capabilities of Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities would help “users to seamlessly onboard to Web3.as well as enable “innovators to develop new exciting decentralized applications using AI.”
A new chatbot called Aptos Assistant will be released to answer user questions about the blockchain ecosystem. It will also provide resources to developers to build decentralized apps as well as smart contracts. Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI service will power the new chatbot.

The partnership between Microsoft and Aptos Labs will also explore innovative solutions including asset tokenizations, payments and Central Bank Digital Currencies. This will also help financial services enterprises advance in their adoption of Web3.
Aptos Labs, a layer 1 blockchain developer, will also run validator nodes on Microsoft’s Azure in order to ensure that the Aptos blockchain is highly reliable and secure.
The success of ChatGPT has also had an impact on blockchain development. Many developers are moving towards the adoption of AI technology into the blockchain ecosystem. Venture capitalists are also showing additional interest in AI and a seamless integration of Web3 and AI could be in the driver’s seat in the future of the web.
