A suspect from Massachusetts was arraigned on several charges for an alleged stabbing at McDonald’s on Tuesday. The suspect, named Jared Ravizza, had gone on a stabbing spree over the weekend, allegedly injuring six people, including four girls under the age of 18, in a movie theater and two people at a McDonald’s in Plymouth.
The 26-year-old suspect has been identified as Jared Ravizza from Chilmark, Martha’s Vineyard. He was held for evaluation and faces charges including armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, as well as indecent exposure.
On Tuesday morning, Jared Ravizza appeared in Plymouth District Court. According to NBC Boston, an assistant district attorney said the 26-year-old suspect entered a McDonald’s drive-through in a black Porsche. He got out of his luxury vehicle and urinated, following which he got into an argument at the drive-through window.
The prosecutor continued and said that Ravizza stabbed the drive-through employee at McDonald’s with what appeared to be a large kitchen knife. He then parked his vehicle and went inside inside the restaurant. He then stabbed a female employee behind the counter. The prosecutor also said that both the employees were stable on Tuesday.
He sped away and was chased by the police. He was apprehended when he crashed his vehicle in Sandwich, on Cape Cod. The Porsche went up in flames.
Earlier, a suspect had stabbed four young girls in an AMC movie theater in Braintree, Massachusetts. Ravizza is under investigation for these crimes as well.
On Saturday, around six p.m., a person with a knife attacked a group of girls—three siblings and a friend watching a movie in an AMC theater in Braintree. Their mother, Lisa Dembowski, said that he allegedly attacked the girls for no reason and laughed. The older girls chased him away.
The police said that the attack in the theater appeared to be “unprovoked and without warning.” They released details about a black vehicle and its nameplate after the alleged suspect fled the scene in a car.
Jared Ravizza may also be connected to a Connecticut death investigation. He allegedly attacked his father in Martha’s Vineyard in April.
