Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic is sitting out Sunday night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a left ankle injury one night after scoring a season-low 15 points.

Doncic was just 7-of-19 shooting and missed all five 3-point attempts on Saturday as Dallas lost 136-119 to the host Trail Blazers in the first game of the back-to-back set.

It is the fifth game Doncic has missed this season. He leads the NBA with a 33.8 scoring average.

Christian Wood (ankle) returned to the lineup after sitting out Saturday for Dallas. Tim Hardaway Jr. (ankle) was ruled out after being hurt on Saturday.
