Priscilla Chan, wife of Mark Zuckerberg revealed that her daughters are already learning their father’s trade. Their duo of five and four, are learning how to code from their tech-whizz dad.
36-year-old Priscilla, a former pediatrician, is also the CEO of the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, which is an example of philanthropic capitalism. It is an initiative to assist in solving society’s toughest challenges, such as disease eradication, education improvement and local community upgradation. The organization is funded from 99% of Facebook’s profits since 2005.
Talking to the Sunday Times Magazine, Priscilla said that Mark and she share quality time with their children. She looks after their morning routine, while Mark puts them to bed. ‘Sometimes they will read books together. Sometimes they’ll code together.’
The mother-of-two also admitted that she had first thought that her husband was a ‘bit of a rebel’ when she met him at Harvard, about 18 years ago. She said, ‘For straight-laced Priscilla, he was a bit of a rebel.’
Chan Zuckerberg Initiative is also helping with the problems that the families of convicts go through, she explained that $350 million ( £253,810,200) donation by CZI was aimed towards Just Trust for reformation of the US justice system.
